In a decisive military operation named Operation Sindoor, India launched a coordinated retaliatory strike deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) to avenge the recent killing of 26 tourists in the Pahagam attack.

Government sources described the mission as an “absolute success,” achieving multiple strategic objectives without escalating into a broader conflict.

According to official details, Indian forces destroyed nine high-value terror launchpads belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen. These sites were identified as operational hubs for planning cross-border attacks against India.

The strikes extended beyond PoJK into Pakistan’s mainland, including Punjab province, home to several key terror hubs. Among the targets was Bahawalpur, a sensitive location previously untouched even by American drone operations.

The mission also exposed critical weaknesses in Pakistan’s air defence systems. Indian jets reportedly bypassed or jammed the air defence grid and executed the operation within a 23-minute window. Rafale aircraft equipped with SCALP missiles and HAMMER bombs carried out the strikes with no reported losses.

Officials noted that the strikes were precise, with no civilian or military infrastructure targeted. India maintained its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism while deliberately avoiding a broader escalation.

Several high-profile terrorists were killed in the operation, including individuals on India’s most wanted list. The leadership of multiple terror outfits was reportedly eliminated in one coordinated action.
