 "22 people die in Israeli bombings in northern Gaza hours after IDF ordered evacuation")
Israeli bombardment has killed at least 22 people in northern Gaza, first responders said on Saturday.
The head of emergency services Fares Afana told CNN that a lot of people are still missing or buried under rubble and others are getting treated for grave injuries.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that multiple airstrikes hit a densely populated neighborhood in Jabalia overnight, resulting in the complete destruction of several houses.
Israel orders Gazans to leave
Earlier during the day, the Israeli military renewed its call to order Palestinians to evacuate northern Gaza.
Military spokesman Avichay Adraee told people to leave parts of Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and other areas in and around Jabaliya, the urban refugee camp where Israeli forces carried out several major operations over the course of the war and then returned as militants regroup.
Most of the fighting over the past week has been concentrated in and around Jabaliya, which has faced heavy bombardment from Israeli warplanes and artillery. Residents have reported being trapped inside their homes and shelters.
Food shortage in Gaza
Gaza has not received food shipments since October 1, putting over 1 million people at risk of starvation.
The UN’s World Food Programme told CNN that approximately 700 aid trucks entered northern Gaza in August, while in September, far fewer trucks (400) entered the region following the suspension of all commercial operations at the Allenby Crossing, located on the border between the West Bank and Jordan.
