American E-Commerce giant Amazon was reportedly planning on showing the price of products on its websites adjusted to tariff pricing. US President Donald Trump then dialled Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Then, Amazon announced that it had no plans to display tariff prices of products on the website. However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt held a presser where she called Amazon’s intentions a “hostile political act.” Will this be the new normal for corporations in Trump’s America?
