Meta and Oakley have officially rolled out the Oakley Meta Vanguard in India, a new pair of performance-focused AI smart glasses designed for athletes who want their workouts tracked, recorded, and enhanced through intelligent tech.
The launch comes four months after their international debut. The Oakley Meta Vanguard were launched globally in September 2025.
Meta claims that the frames are built to withstand sweat, dust, and water, with an IP67 rating, ensuring durability during long runs, cycling sessions, and outdoor workouts. Each pair features Oakley’s signature PRIZM lens technology, known for enhancing contrast and colour accuracy across different light conditions.
The glasses are also engineered for comfort, featuring Oakley’s Three-Point Fit system and interchangeable nose pads that make them compatible with helmets and hats. Now before we delve deeper into the features, let’s take a look at the pricing first.
Oakley Meta Vanguard: Price and availability
The Oakley Meta Vanguard starts at Rs 52,300 and is available through leading optical stores including Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters. Buyers can choose from four frame and lens combinations: Black with PRIZM 24K, White with PRIZM Black, Black with PRIZM Road, and White with PRIZM Sapphire.
The full collection is now available at LensCrafters, sunglasshut.in and across leading optical and sunglass stores nationwide.
Oakley Meta Vanguard: Features and specs
The Oakley Meta Vanguard packs in a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 122-degree field of view, capable of recording 3K video, slow motion, and hyperlapse footage. Users can capture point-of-view content hands-free, whether it’s a sprint finish, trail ride, or training session, with video stabilisation and on-lens LED indicators showing active recording and fitness stats.
Fitness tracking is powered by Meta AI, which syncs with Garmin and other fitness apps to provide real-time data on heart rate, pace, and progress.
Users can simply ask, “Hey Meta, what’s my heart rate?” to get instant updates.
The open-ear audio system has also been upgraded, now six decibels louder than the Meta HSTN, making it ideal for outdoor environments.
A five-microphone array reduces wind noise for clearer calls and AI commands, while battery life stretches up to nine hours on a single charge, or 36 hours with the charging case. A quick 20-minute boost provides half a day’s use.
