Xiaomi has quietly released the Redmi 5 in China a new 4 GB RAM and 32 storage variant.
In a report by Gizmochina, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 which was released in two variants 2GB / 16GB and 3 GB / 32 GB RAM / internal storage variants, has now released the third variant.
The new variant sports 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It's available in black, gold, and light blue colours and has been priced at CNY 1099 which is approximately Rs 11,000.
In terms of specifications, nothing much has changed really. It still has the 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC.
In case of the camera department, it sports a 12 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera and comes packed with 3,300 mAh.
It is already available on Xiaomi's online store of China. It is not known if or when it will come to India.
In other news, Xiaomi has launched the MIUI 10 for tablets and smartphones in China. It is expected to come with artificial intelligence capabilities.
Xiaomi also started rolling out the updates for MIUI 9.2 in select Xiaomi devices. It is expected to come on Redmi 5A, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Note 5A Prime, Redmi Y1, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 4 Prime, Mi 3, Mi 4 and Mi Note.
