Vodafone and Flipkart partner to offer 4G smartphones at an effective price of Rs 999

Vodafone has partnered with Flipkart to offer select 4G smartphones at an effective price of Rs 999 from 24 January to 31 March. These phones are available exclusively on Flipkart and not in Vodafone stores.

According to Flipkart, the offer is available on Micromax, iVOOMi, Xolo, Intex, Swipe, Yu and Alcatel.

To get a hold of this, you must be a Vodafone user. On purchasing the phone on a special discount of Rs 2,999, you have to activate the phone.

You have to get your phone recharged with at least Rs 150 every month for the first 18 months. This accounts for Rs 2,700. After this, the user gets a cashback of Rs 900 from Vodafone.

Then for the next 18 months, you have to recharge your phone with the same Rs 150 per month. After the second leg of 18 months, you will receive a cashback worth Rs 1,100.

In total, after 36 months, the customer receives Rs 2,000 as cashback from Vodafone.

In order to encash the cashback, the user must have a Vodafone’s digital payments app, mPesa.

Honestly, these are quite a lot of conditions.

This is not the first time that Vodafone has partnered with a smartphone brand. It had  previously partnered with itel Mobile and offered smartphones at an effective price of Rs 1,250.
