The Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 which may be a while away, but we’re already beginning to see early renders of what the anniversary edition flagship S-series smartphone may look like.

A report by 91mobiles in collaboration with reputed tipster OnLeaks reveals early device renders of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, along with details of several key specifications. Now, we have been hearing rumours and a lot of those are seemingly confirmed here. Given the fact that OnLeaks does have a pretty solid track record, these should be quite close to the real deal.

Right off the bat, these CAD-based renders suggest that Samsung is changing their approach to the design of their S-series smartphones in 2019. We still do have Samsung’s ‘infinity display’ but the top and bottom bezels have shrunk considerably, courtesy of the company’s infinity-O implementation. In fact, one can’t help but notice that the S10 Plus in the renders looks more like the Galaxy Note 9 than an S-series smartphone.

The display features a large cutout on the top right corner, larger than the one teased on the poster for the Galaxy A8s because this features not one but front-facing cameras. Aesthetically, this does come across as a little ugly for a Samsung flagship but again, these are early renders.

Turn the phone around and there aren’t just two cameras anymore, but four cameras. The horizontal strip for the camera housing here looks like they turned the vertically aligned setup on the Galaxy A9 to look less obnoxious. There’s also no fingerprint scanner as Samsung is expected to launch the S10 with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The render also shows a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom of the phone which would certainly delight music buffs.

As per an older report , Samsung is expected to launch a total of three Galaxy S10 variants — the Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10 Plus and the Galaxy S10 Lite. These names are tentative but we have enough pointers already to suggest that there will be a total of three variants, all of which are expected to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

As far as specifications go, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will come with a 6.4-inch QHD curved AMOLED display. The S10 Plus will also feature one of the highest screen-to-body ratios of any smartphone in the market at the time of launch. The phone is also expected to be powered by the latest Exynos 9820 SoC globally, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 or 855 SoC in the US.
