Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite spotted on Geekbench with 6 GB RAM, Android 9.0 Pie

Rumours of a Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite have started popping on the internet. The alleged **Galaxy S10 Lite** seems to have made it to Geekbench under the codename ‘Samsung SM-G970U’. The Geekbench listing was first spotted by Slashleaks, which seems to think that the chip listed here is a Snapdragon 855. The listing shows that the phone is equipped 6 GB of RAM and that the motherboard is labelled ‘msmnile’. The latter name has been spotted on all previous benchmarks attributed to Qualcomm’s unreleased 855 chip, but the benchmark results tell a different story. [caption id=“attachment_5865991” align=“alignnone” width=“1024”]Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Geekbench listing. Image: Geekbench Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Geekbench listing. Image: Geekbench[/caption] SM-G970U scored 1,986 on single-core and 6,266 on the multi-core test, which is far lower than the lowest scores we’ve seen for the current flagship Snapdragon 845 chip. Snapdragon 855 leaks hint at benchmark scores of around 4,000 on single core and 10,000 on multi-core. We suspect that the S10 Lite is using a lower-end chip, most likely a Snapdragon 710-class device. It’s possible that the score is just an anomaly of course. Earlier rumours have also suggested the phone to come with a 5.8-inch display, but **not with a curved screen** . The phone is also said to come with an ‘Infinity-O’ display hole for a front-facing camera. The Galaxy s10 Lite was also rumoured to come with a 128 GB of storage and sell at £669, which is around Rs 60,000. Samsung is expected to launch three variants of the upcoming flagship: the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy S10+.
