  The Realme U1 will start selling on 5 December with no preorder dates announced so far.
  SBI debit/credit card users will get a 5% cashback while there are no-cost EMI options on offers as well along with Interesting offers from Reliance Jio.

  The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and the Honor 8X is definitely in the Realme U1's crosshair as the company claims a better overall score of 145021 on AnTuTu
  The Snapdragon 636 on the Note 6 Pro meanwhile scores 115611, while the Kirin 710 on the Honor 8X scores 139974
  But bear in mind that Realme has been caught benchmark cheating in the past!

  Like a lot of other brands, the Realme U1 will feature a gaming mode which lets you play without interruptions
  Realme claims to have also improved things at a system level to improve game launch speeds and bandwidth allocation for games

  TL Lee, General Manager, Wireless Communications BU, MediaTek talks (a lot) about the Helio P70 SoC on the phone
  The MediaTek Helio P70 SoC that is being used on the Realme U1 was announced in October.
  The chip is based on TSMC's 12 nm FinFET process. 
  Comes equipped with four ARM Cortex-A73 cores that are clocked at up to 2.1 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz.
  This is coupled with an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU
  MediaTek claims that the new processor delivers 13 percent additional performance over the Helio P60 chip
  The chip also has a dedicated AI processor which is expected to enhance camera features like portrait mode as well as gaming

  Realme U1 may be the first smartphone to feature the new Mediatek Helio P70 12 nm chipset

  Realme has confirmed that the U1 will be the first smartphone in India to feature the Helio P70. The latest 12 nm MediaTek chipset promises to deliver a 13 per cent boost in performance over its predecessor. The octa-core processor also brings an enhanced AI engine with up to 30 per cent improvement in AI processing over the Helio P60.
