Oppo, which had earlier on 6 September launched the A71 smartphone in Malaysia, has now unveiled the phone for the Indian market as well. The phone has been made public at an introductory price of Rs 12,990. In terms of dimensions, the A71 measures 148.1x73.8x7.6 mm and weighs 137 g. The phone has a metal unibody design alongside a 5.2 inch display. The unibody metal back uses “nano silver technology” to “strengthen the gloss” of the metal, says Oppo. In terms of hardware, the phone is powered by a MediaTek MT66750T octa-core 1.5 GHz processor and a Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with the Color OS 3.1 user interface and comes with 3 GB of RAM alongside 16 GB of internal storage, which can later be expanded to 256 GB using a microSD card. The phone has a 13 MP rear sensor with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture . On the front is a 5 MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include support for Bluetooth 4.0, 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, support for dual nano-SIM cards and LTE alongside a 3,000 mAh battery.
