Online dating app Tinder launches ‘Reactions’; likely to help users express themselves better

Online location-based dating platform Tinder is launching ‘reactions’, a new way to help its users interact with each other. The company is rolling out updates for its iOS and Android app to add this new feature. Tinder pointed out female employees working at the company have developed ‘reactions’ ‘as a fun new way to communicate’. The company teamed up with actress and comedian Whitney Cummings to lead her voice for some of the reactions. The company is rolling out six reactions in total ranging from ‘Hearts’, ‘Laughs’, ‘Round of Applause’, ‘Really…?!’, ‘The eye roll’, to ‘The ball’s in your court’. Tinder reactions are different from reactions on Facebook as unlike Facebook, they take the full screen to display the reaction animations. This new feature comes almost month and a half after the company  **introduced** its “Tinder Gold” service that lets paid users to see who has liked them. The service is priced at $4.99 per month on top of the standard “Tinder Plus” subscription in the US.
