Nokia 7.1 launched in India for Rs 19,999 with a 5.84-inch HDR10 ready display

Finnish company HMD Global, which sells Nokia-branded smartphones, on Friday launched the **Nokia 7.1** smartphone for Rs 19,999 in India. The Nokia 7.1 was launched in London on 4 October. The phone will go on sale starting 7 December 2018 and will be available across retailers in India and on Nokia’s website in gloss midnight blue and gloss steel colours. There’s a full HD+ 5.84-inch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The device is the first to feature Nokia’s “PureDisplay” screen technology which is claimed to be HDR10 ready. Image: Nokia[/caption] The Nokia 7.1 also features Zeiss camera optics with 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera with autofocus and an 8 MP selfie snapper. “It was important for us to bring both ZEISS optics and ‘PureDisplay’ technology together in a device that offers a superior content experience, regardless of whether you’re taking photos for social media or watching your favourite streaming service,” Ajey Mehta, Vice President and Country Head, India, HMD Global, said in a statement. The Nokia 7.1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Fuelling the Nokia 7.1 is a 3,060 mAh battery with support for fast-charging. The device has dual-anodised aluminium diamond-cut coloured edges. Being an Android One phone, the Nokia 7.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches. The smartphone has recently been upgraded to Android 9 Pie OS, thus, bringing new features, including “App Actions” which is exclusive to Android One devices and Google Pixel phones.

The Nokia 7.1 comes with an offer for Airtel prepaid customers where they can enjoy 1 TB of 4G data on eligible plans starting at Rs 199 and also Airtel postpaid customers can get an additional data of 120 GB along with three months of Netflix subscription and one year of Amazon Prime subscription on plans starting from Rs 499.

 Consumers who purchase Nokia 7.1 using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards on EMI transactions which will be carried out through Pinelabs terminals in offline stores are mentioned to receive a 10 percent cash back.
