HMD Global has relaunched Nokia branded smartphones in the market. The company is working on a number of devices to ensure that it has devices to target almost every price range right from the entry-level devices to high-end flagships. According to a report by GSMArena, Nokia 2, the suspected ‘ultra-budget’ device from the company was spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench.
The listing on Geekbench reveals that the device will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 with 1 GB RAM while running Android Nougat 7.1.1. The website could not reveal the internal storage of the device but it is expected that the smartphone will sport 8 GB internal storage. This is not the first time that Nokia 2 has been spotted on the internet. The company has not revealed any details about specifications, pricing or availability but we can expect the price to be anywhere between Rs 3,310 and Rs 9,499, the prices for the new Nokia 3310 and Nokia 3 in the country.
This comes months after the company launched Nokia 3 in India at a price tag of Rs 10,200 in offline stores across India. The phone runs on Android nougat 7.0 and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor paired with a Mali T720 GPU. The Nokia 3 comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, a 2,650 mAh battery and an external card support of up to 128 GB. Nokia offered a discount of 7 percent and the phone was available at Rs 9,499 in the store at the time of launch. HMD Global also confirmed that the device will soon get an Android 7.1.1 update.
