Nokia may have accidentally revealed the Nokia 2, a cheaper variant of the Nokia 3 smartphone

Nokia is expected to release another phone which will be priced below the Nokia 3. According to a picture posted on Chinese site Baidu, the company is expected to bring an ultra-affordable smartphone to the market. The website featured pictures of two phones side-by-side named as Nokia 3 and Nokia 2 respectively.

The picture shows a render of a Nokia 3 beside another phone marked as the Nokia 2. Both the phones look similar, i.e, have an equal size of display and screen. The only difference between the phones is the placement of the navigation buttons on the screen. The device marked as the Nokia 2 has a virtual navigation buttons as compared to the Nokia 3 that comes with physical navigation buttons.

Since the Nokia 3 has a 5-inch display, the Nokia 2 too is expected to come with the same size of display. According to a report on droidholic the phone is expected to have a similar back panel as the Nokia 3. The Nokia 2 is said to be an ultra-affordable phone and is expected to feature a non-metal body.

Nokia 3 was recently launched in India at a price tag of Rs 10,200 in offline stores across India. The phone runs on Android nougat 7.0 and is powered by a Mediatek MT6737 processor paired with a Mali T720 GPU. The Nokia 3 comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, a 2,650 mAh battery and an external card support of upto 128 GB.

Nokia offered a discount of 7 percent and the phone was available at Rs 9,499 in the store at the time of launch. HMD Global also confirmed that the device will soon get an Android 7.1.1 update.
