Meizu launch updates: Meizu M16th priced at Rs 39,999, Meizu 6T at Rs 7,999, Meizu C9 at Rs 5,999

Meizu M16th and M6T have been already launched in China, wherein the latter was announced as early as March.

The last time we saw a Meizu phone in India was back in 2015 and today after three years the company has seen it fit to unveil another smartphone or smartphones in India. Reports indicate that as many as three products could be launched at today's event. These phones are the Meizu M6T, Meizu M16th and the Meizu C9.

While they may appear as new products, both the Meizu M16th and M6T have been already launched in China wherein the latter was announced as early as March. The M16th is a flagship phone and could compete with OnePlus and PocoFone in the mid-range flagship market, while the M6T is likely going to be an entry-level offering.

The Meizu C9 is possibly an Android One-powered device and could challenge the likes of Xiaomi and Asus.

    Meizu C9 is said to have a better chipset in the budget segment; a look at its features

    Meizu 9C looks to have a Unisoc chipset which is supposedly faster than the Snapdragon 450 chipset. The C9 also has 2 GB RAM and memory expandable to 128 GB. It will be coming with Android Oreo 8.0. The phone happens to have a face recognition technology as well. The phone has a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera.

    As expected the third device from Meizu is the C9 which also looks to be an entry-level phone. It has a 5.45-inch display with HD resolution.

    Powering the device is MediaTek MT6750 SoC, coupled with up to 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. We wonder how much the phone is going to be priced? The device weighs only 145 gm, however, making it quite light indeed.

    The phone uses a Sony IMX 380 lens to capture great photos.,M16th has a dual-camera setup consisting of 12 MP + 20 MP sensors on the back while a 20 MP selfie camera flanks the front. It also comes with automatic HDR capability.

    M16th speed and battery

    The 3010 mAh battery on the phone can be used for 10 straight hours on normal usage. It also comes with mCharge which charges the phone to 67 percent in 30 minutes. The phone also comes with a water cooling system to help during intense gaming sessions. The phone also has the Snapdragon 845 chipset and will come with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

    The phone is said to have the smallest 20 MP front-facing camera on any smartphone in the world. It also has a near 90 percent screen-to-body ratio without using a notched display. It also comes with the in-display fingerprint sensor which can unlock the phone in 0.25 seconds.

    Zhang explains that Meizu is launching three products. The first is the flagship Meizu M16th and with it, he takes a swipe at notches and vertically aligned camera setup on the left on all latest flagship phones. M16th is notch-less and has a vertical camera in the centre of the phone's back.

    The last Meizu phone seen in India

    Meizu had launched the  dual-screen display device, Meizu Pro 7 in India back in April. The 2-inch Super AMOLED secondary display on the back can be used to check notifications, weather updates and will also help in taking selfies from the rear camera on the device. The Meizu Pro 7 had been priced at Rs 22,999 in India.
