Flipkart's Republic Day Sale to start from 21 January; will offer up to 80 percent discount on various products

E-commerce giant, Flipkart has finally announced the dates of it upcoming sale. Called the 'Republic Day Sale', it will be held between 21 January to 23 January for its customers. The announcement of the upcoming sale comes after its international rival Amazon, announced its 'Great India Sale'  from 21 January to 24 January in India.

Flipkart is offering a 10 percent cashback on Citi credit and debit cards for the purchases made on the online store. It will launch the Honor 9 Lite during the sale and is also offering a discount on other smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (4 GB) will also be an attraction priced at Rs 35,900. Google Pixel 2 XL will can be bought for as low as Rs 48,999, which includes up to Rs 10,000 off on HDFC credit card transactions.

The regular Samsung Galaxy S7 will be priced at Rs 26,990, with the Xiaomi Mi Mix at Rs 29,999, the Vivo V7 Plus at Rs 16,990 and the Oppo F3 Plus priced at Rs 17,990 during the Republic Day Sale on Flipkart. Many other smartphone brands including Lenovo, Motorola, Infinix and Panasonic are on discount during the sale.

Flipkart will also offer up to 80 percent off on laptops, cameras and other electronic equipment, 50-80 percent discounts on clothing, footwear and accessories and up to 70 percent off on appliances. Furnishing and decor gets up to 40-80 percent discount whereas the beauty, toys, sports and the book selection will get up to 70 percent off.

The Amazon 'Great India Sale' which also falls during the same period will offer attractive exchange schemes with no EMI on various products including smartphones, TVs, washing machines and other categories. Amazon Prime members will get 12 hours early access to the sale.
