Two months after introducing the iQOO 15 series in India, the company has confirmed another addition to its lineup — the iQOO 15R.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya offered a first look at the upcoming device, describing it as “Power that fits just right.”
While the teaser didn’t reveal full specifications, the tagline hints at a phone that balances compact design with high performance, possibly packing a larger battery in a smaller frame.
Rumours also suggest that the iQOO 15R could be the rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which launched earlier in China.
iQOO 15R: Design
The official teaser offers a good look at the iQOO 15R’s design language. The phone features a boxy profile with rounded edges. On the back, the device sports a distinctive finish with the iQOO branding etched neatly near the bottom.
The camera setup follows a design language similar to the flagship models, with a squoval camera island, though the arrangement is different this time. The module houses a dual-camera system, placed in a pill-shaped enclosure within the island.
By early impressions, the iQOO 15R may also feature a metal body, lending it a premium hand feel.
We’ll know more about the profile and build quality once the device is officially in hand, but the design certainly gives off flagship vibes.
iQOO 15R: Expected specifications and features
If leaks and the Chinese variant are any indication, the iQOO 15R could pack some serious hardware muscle. It’s rumoured to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, promising sharp visuals and ultra-smooth scrolling.
Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, positioning it near the flagship segment in terms of raw power.

View AllCamera-wise, reports suggest a 200-megapixel main sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, while the front camera may come in at 32-megapixel.
Battery life could be another strong point. The iQOO 15R is tipped to include a massive 7,600mAh battery.
Interestingly, the iQOO 15R has already appeared in certification databases, with a Bluetooth SIG listing confirming its name earlier this month.
If it does launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the iQOO 15R will go head-to-head with the OnePlus 15R and Motorola Signature, both powered by the same chip.
iQOO 15R: Price and launch expectations
Its success will likely depend on pricing. If iQOO keeps the cost within upper mid-range territory, the 15R could be a compelling pick for users prioritising speed, battery endurance, and charging efficiency.
The iQOO 15R is expected to launch in February, available through Amazon and the iQOO India online store. The official launch date should be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
