A new Zombie Mode in PUBG Mobile has been anticipated ever since Tencent released a teaser of the PUBG Mobile-Resident Evil 2 crossover at the end of 2018. It now appears that the awaited 0.10.5 update may finally bring zombies to the game. Popular PUBG Mobile YouTubers, Mr. Ghost Gaming and Allthenewsisgoodnews have both hinted that the PUBG Mobile zombies update could be released sooner than expected. A host of videos based on the version 0.10.5 beta mode show off zombies in the waiting area. One of the videos even shows what appears to be a special map for the PUBG Mobile Zombies mode. This video could have been created based on data mined assets, but they have been found to be accurate in the past.

Apart from zombies, the 0.10.5 update is also expected to introduce cosmetics for the Royale Pass. The cosmetics will appear in its fifth season and include items like fresh costumes, gun skins, and hairstyles. Some of these cosmetics also fit with the overall zombie theme as they sport a post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Another awaited feature of the update is an all new redemption system. The redemption system essentially allows players to trade in their Unknown Cash or ‘UC’ for Battle Points. The conversion rate is yet to be known though so we will have to wait it out till the update is announced. As per an earlier report , Tencent might even migrate the death cam feature from the PC version of PUBG to mobile. The option enables users to re-watch how they died and it might help them strategise better. The mobile version of PUBG could also finally get the MK 47 Mutant weapon, which supports a laser sight gun attachment with the upcoming update. The assault rifle was expected to make its way to the game with the now stable 0.10.0 update, but that did not happen.

That’s not all. There’s more being brought to mobile from the PC version. Tukshai, an autorickshaw or Tuk Tuk available in Sanhok for PC players, is also likely being added. Dynamic weather will reportedly be made available for Erangel and Miramar as well and the game developers could add new emotes and Classic Voices in the game. The official changelog will throw light on more of the smaller upgrades and changes, but as far as PUBG Mobile updates go, this month’s update is expected to be a fairly major one.
