Samsung launched its latest flagship phones - the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge at the Unpacked 2016 event here at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Samsung's brand new Galaxy smartphones, the S7 and S7 edge, are already said to have received smashing pre-order records, according to Russian tech journalist Eldar Murtazin. According to him, Samsung will have to produce a lot more copies of the S7 Edge than the flat Galaxy S7.
Samsung's pride and joy the Galaxy S7 and its curvy sibling the Galaxy S7 Edge will apparently go on sale on 11 March. After a massive launch at the MWC 2016, everything about the not so secret smartphones was finally revealed apart from the launch date and pricing.
Ahead of Samsung's 'Galaxy Unpacked 2016' event on February 21, new reports offer information regarding the price for the company's new Galaxy smartphones. In addition, serial tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks has also shared a few images of the new devices in different color variants.
Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S7 launch, a new report states that the company is also planning to launch a Galaxy upgrade program, similar to Apple’s iPhone upgrade program, wherein a new phone could be rented instead of purchased, and upgraded once per year respectively.
Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S7, the company is rumoured to launch 3 more high-end Galaxy smartphones next year. These smartphones are likely to be named Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge, and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus.
This alone could give the Samsung Galaxy S7 a much needed boost and head-start, as pricing from other international smartphone brands like HTC and Sony are expected to be pretty high.
