Travel ban working 'very nicely' says US President Donald Trump

Houston: Unfazed by growing criticism, US President Donald Trump has asserted that his "very strict ban" on foreign nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries was working "very nicely" and should continue.

US president Donald Trump suspends admission of refugees for days, signed an executive order to limit the flow of Muslim refugees and "keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the US". The order bans all persons from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia or Yemen from entering the country for 30 days and calls for strong vetting measures from other countries.

Comparatively, according to Pew Research Center, the US has received 28,957 Muslim refugees so far in fiscal year 2016 in this year alone
