MEA claims it has ‘electronic evidence’ that IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman’s MiG-21 shot down Pakistani F-16

An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 Bison, piloted by Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, shot down a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 fighter aircraft and there are eyewitness accounts as well as electronic evidence for it, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said India is "missing a pilot in action" after an aerial engagement with Pakistan aircraft over Rajouri. The pilot has been identified as Wing Commander Abhinandan.
