Prices of 56 drugs to come down; NPPA fixes ceiling rates

Prices may come down of 56 important medicines used in treatment of cancer, diabetes, bacterial infections and high blood pressure, with the government fixing their ceiling prices under the drug pricing control mechanism.

De-controlling drug prices: SC refuses to interfere in Centre's decision

The Supreme Court today refused to interfere with the Centre's decision to de-control prices of 108 cardiac and diabetes drugs saying the issue can be raised before the competent authority through representation.
