Will not allow beef festival in Osmania University, says Hyderabad police

With a view to ensure peace in Osmania University following plans of different student organisations to organise "beef and other festivals", Hyderabad Police on Friday said it will not permit any festivities on the campus.

The situation in the Osmania University was tense as violence continued in the campus past midnight with a group of students attacking the 'C' hostel and stabbing a student for supporting the beef festival.
