The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) recently asked the Goa government that it must host the National Games as scheduled from 20 October to 4 November this year.
IOA President Narinder Batra is optimistic that despite a spike in the COVID-19 cases in the country, the much-delayed 36th National Games will be held as scheduled from 20 October to 4 November in Goa.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said the state will be spending around Rs 450 crore on infrastructure for the 36th edition of the National Games, which it will host in October 2020.
