World Athletics Championships Highlights: Neeraj Chopra vs Arshad Nadeem in men's javelin final

All eyes will be on Neeraj Chopra in the final of the World Athletics Championships after he qualified on Wednesday with a first-attempt throw of 84.85m.

Neeraj Chopra needed just one attempt to qualify for the final of men’s javelin throw event at World Championships in Tokyo. He came, he threw, he qualifies, and he left. Check out the video of Neeraj’s only throw that helped him qualify for the finals.

India’s Neeraj Chopra sits on top in men’s javelin Group A after his first attempt of 84.85m, securing direct entry into the final. He is followed by Keshorn Walcott (83.93m) and Germany’s Julian Weber (82.29m) after the opening round. The others are still looking for that qualification mark.

India’s Abdulla Aboobacker Narangolintev begins his campaign in the men’s triple jump qualification (Group A) at 3:35 PM IST. He is listed at No. 15. The Asian Games medalist has a personal best of 17.19m and will need to clear 17.10m or finish among the top 12 to qualify for the final.

The men’s javelin throw qualification in Tokyo begins with Group A, and Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra will be the first to start. Germany’s Julian Weber and Keshorn Walcott are next on the list.
