Radhika Yadav's mother reveals husband Deepak's anger over tennis academy: 'He was obsessive'

Radhika Yadav’s mother, Manju, has reportedly revealed a startling incident that sheds further light on father Deepak, the man who committed the murder.

A startling revelation about the shocking murder of Haryana tennis player Radhika Yadav has emerged. Radhika, who was allegedly shot dead by her father on Thursday, was reportedly under massive duress from him. According to the deceased’s mother, Manju, her husband, Deepak, was “obsessive” in nature and wanted Radhika to shut down her tennis academy.

As per sources, Radhika’s mother also detailed an instance when her husband scolded her for speaking to her brother-in-law.

Furthermore, she also highlighted that Deepak was once taunted by someone from their village that he must be enjoying his daughter’s earnings, a comment that did not sit well with him and further enraged him.

For the past three days, Deepak had been angry and constantly demanded that his daughter shut down her tennis academy business, the mother told police, as per a report in the News18. She also divulged that during this period, he went to the extent of expressing the desire to kill her. According to the sources close to the investigation, the couple had been having repeated arguments over the last three days.

Radhika Yadav’s father, Deepak Yadav, has now been ordered to be placed in one-day police custody by a local court in Gurugram on Friday. The court views the case as a “serious matter” that requires an “in-depth” investigation, sources told News18.

Radhika, the 25-year-old former tennis player, was shot dead by her father at the family’s double-storey residence in the Sushant Lok area of Gurugram on Thursday. Deepak Yadav (49) confessed to killing his daughter and was arrested.

A thorough investigation will be done

The police have said that they will delve deep and explore all the possible angles in Radhika’s murder, including what her mother was doing when the incident took place. According to an FIR filed based on the complaint of Radhika’s uncle, Kuldeep Yadav, Manju was present on the first floor of the house when the shooting occurred.
