It seems as if the sex-success goof-up isn’t going to leave Australia Test captain Michael Clarke for a while.

Clarke gave something to smile to the reporters on the eve of the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston and while talking about Australia’s strategy for the third Test: “We need to execute our skills like we did at Lord’s if we want to have sex” he said, before quickly correcting it to “success” at the second attempt. But by then the room had already burst into laughter.

He further sheepishly added, “That’s not the first time it’s coming out the wrong way.”

And yes this wasn’t his first encounter with the sex-success mix-up. Earlier this year, in March, it was a reporter who had stumped Michael Clarke in the post-match press conference at the Sydney Cricket Ground, when he asked Clarke to comment on “the tremendous sex” he had enjoyed since taking over as captain.

The embarrassed reporter quickly corrected himself, telling Clarke he had meant to say “the tremendous success”.

“How well do you know me?” Clarke asked the journalist as man-of-the-match Steve Smith, who was sitting next to him, laughed.

“It’s a question for my wife,” said the captain.

After the latest goof-up, Clarke had a fun conversation after BBC tweeted the video of it. Even David Warner chipped in to have some fun.
