After much skepticism, India’s dreams of another Olympic gold medal were aflame again when badminton player PV Sindhu entered the badminton finals. It was an inspiring triumph when the shuttler defeated World No 6 Nozomi Okuhara in the semifinals, to become the first Indian to reach badminton finals at the Olympics. After Sakshi Malik creating wrestling history for India, Sindhu is on the verge of rewriting Indian Olympic history.
