The Paralympic flame is being brought onto the Stade de France and is relayed through several French athletes before being extinguished. Aurelie Aubert, who won gold in Boccia, is the one who extinguishes the flame. At Tuileries Garden, Amadou and Mariam, along with a string quartet perform “Je suis venu te dire que je m’en vais,” which is inspired by French poet Paul Verlaine.

Much like during the closing ceremony of Olympics last month, the volunteers of Paralympics 2024 are being thanked at the stage. They receive a huge ovation and cheers from the crowd. Six newly-elected members of the International Paralympic Committee Athletes’ Council are being introduced onto the stage as well.

The athletes’ parade at the closing ceremony is complete. Tony Estanguet, the president of Paris 2024, addresses the crowd. “Dear athletes, you have made the Paralympics in Paris successful. Thank you. Tonight is not just the end of Paralympics, but the end of Paris 2024,” he says.
