India’s javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra will be back in action later this month at the Diamond League Final in Zurich, Switzerland. The event will take place on August 27 and 28, and the men’s javelin throw final is scheduled for August 28.
Neeraj, who is a world champion and two-time Olympic medal winner, had already qualified for the final even though he skipped the recent Silesia leg. His earlier strong performances gave him enough points to make the cut.

Earlier this season, Neeraj set a new national record of 90.23m in Doha Diamond League, where he came second behind Germany’s Julian Weber. He also won the Paris leg with a throw of 88.16m.
