American quarterback Jayden Daniels recently guided the Washington Commanders to their first playoff win in the National Football League (NFL) since 2006. They defeated Tampa Bay Buccanneers 23-20 in the Wild Card round and will next face Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round. Jayden Daniels, a rookie, completed 24 of 35 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
Jayden Daniels’ unique way of training
While Jayden Daniels trains day in and day out, he uses the help of Virtual Reality (VR) headsets which simulates training for quarterbacks. As a result, those headsets have been called “flight simulators” for quarterbacks. According to CBS, Daniels uses the VR headsets at 6 am every day, with lifelike game scenarios loaded in.
As per a report in The Athletic, Daniels can hear Kliff Kingsbury, his offensive coordinator, instructing the players, just like how it happens on a real field. The simulation helps Daniels immerse himself with different stadiums and scenarios, and this includes the location of play clocks.

Daniels uses the VR at the “highest possible setting”. After he is done training in VR simulation mode, which is quite fast, according to Daniels, “everything slows down” when he steps onto the field on matchday.
Daniels has also won the Heisman Trophy with Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers team. The Heisman Trophy is an award given to the top player in college football during a particular season.
