RR have won by 5 wickets and it’s a vital win for them. Superb composure in the chase once again – the reuired rate never went higher than 10.74. RR have now won 6 out of 6 at Jaipur. A fortress indeed.

Dravid brought up his 50 with a glorious straight six and they are doing just enough to keep the required run-rate in control. 2223 IST RR 84-0 after 10 overs. 95 needed in the back ten now. Dravid 48 and Rahane has 33. They have cruised to this point but wickets in hand are no good, they need to win this and they need to start going after the bowling now. 2220 IST RR 76-0 after 9 overs. Good over for PWI. So far, it’s been one-way traffic but PWI aren’t given up. The pressure will start to mount on the batsmen as the required run-rate increases. 2213 IST RR 72-0 after 8 overs. 9 runs off the over and RR were not even trying. 2127 IST PWI 178-4 after 20 overs. Wow. That’s quite the total for PWI. It’s not going to be an easy chase and there’s no Dinda to help them either. Marsh ended up with 35 off 21 balls. Highest successful run chase at Jaipur is 197 – RR did that in 2012.

He should be pretty pissed at being dropped from the Champions Trophy squad. 2046 IST PWI 97-1 after 10.5 overs. Finch is walking back after an inside egde back on to the stumps. Pune Warriors, on the other hand, are only competing for the wooden spoon. They have been awful in every department of the game – this despite having stars in every department of the game – and we have seen coach Allan Donald age rather rapidly in the dug out. They have lacked a game plan and consistency which has seen them lose games despite getting into winning positions. But it isn’t as if it’s all been smooth sailing for Rajasthan. They have tinkered with their batting order – especially the number three slot but Shane Watson remains the key. Dravid has marshaled his troops well and RR need him to continue doing that. The Pune Warriors have lost their last five matches while Rajasthan have 2 wins in their last five matches, including two losses in their last two. They will want to stop the losing streak right now.
