IPL: At least four Chennai Super Kings players are involved in fixing, claims Lalit Modi

Former Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi claims that four Chennai Super Kings players are involved in match-fixing. Modi, who is known to make explosive remarks on Twitter — called the revelation his ‘breaking story’. So here is my BREAKING STORY - IF THE #HONORABLE #SUPREME #COURT WAS TO REVEAL THE NAMES OF PLAYERS INVOLVED IN FIXING - at least 4 are CSK

— Lalit Kumar Modi (@LalitKModi) May 11, 2015

Modi criticised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after news of the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) probe into betting syndicates broke recently. He also said that the BCCI, the International Cricket Council (ICC), India Cements and BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur were ’trying to hoodwink’ the public when it came to illegal betting quantum.

1/3 tweets Again these jokers in @BCCI @ICC @IPL #indiacements @ianuragthakur trying 2 hoodwink us all in regard to #illegal betting quantum

Some reports have suggested that the ED has calculated betting ranges per IPL match between Rs 600-800 crore. However, Modi believes it ranges between Rs 9000-10,000 crores per game. He also took a direct swipe at ‘CSK owner’ - and blames the person for starting and running this alleged fixing. Modi goes to to say that not just Indian, but even foreign players are involved in fixing — and is so sure of his allegations that he promised to ‘walk into the sunset’ and give up all his official positions if he was wrong.
