Gurjant Singh and Simranjeet Singh contributed with two well-worked goals to deliver India a comfortable 2-1 victory over Belgium in the Hockey Junior World Cup final on Sunday. The young Indian team thus ended a 15-year wait to win the Junior Hockey World Cup, and the Dhyan Chand stadium in Lucknow erupted with joy. India also became the first ever host nation to lift the trophy. A performance this impressive understandably received plaudits from all around, and several came forth on Twitter to congratulate the team on their incredible feat.
