Transfer Deadline Day Highlights: Window closes with United reportedly signing Lammens, Isak joining Liverpool

Here are the ones that stand out

– Liverpool reportedly complete signing of Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi for £125 million and £35 million respectively.

– Manchester United agree to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens for €21 million (£18.15 million).

– United also agree to loan Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli for the remainder of the season with the option to buy him next summer.

– Manchester City are closing in on Paris Saint-Germain keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma although his arrival depends on whether current goalkeeper Ederson is able to attract a deal from another club.

– Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson joins Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

– Crystal Palace look to soften the blow of Alexander Isak’s reported exit by signing Yoane Wissa from Brentford.

The complication in Guehi’s move to Anfield arises from the fact that Crystal Palace are struggling to secure his replacement, who happens to be Brighton’s Igor Julio.

In such a scenario, the FA Cup and Community Shield champions aren’t keen on going ahead with the transfer.

According to Sky Sports, Lammens has already arrived in the UK and is on his way to the Carrington Training Centre to undergo his medical.

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has been among the biggest talking points this summer, and he is expected to dominate transfer talk on Monday evening. As is Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. Both Isak and Martinez, incidentally, have been sidelined by their clubs close to the deadline.

Also in focus is centre-back Marc Guehi, who was part of the Crystal Palace side that won back-to-back titles this summer – the FA Cup as well as the Community Shield.
