Transfer Deadline Day LIVE: The summer transfer window comes to an end on Monday, 1 September, although the timings vary from nation to nation – with the deadline for all Premier League and EFL clubs set at 7 pm British Summer Time (11.30 pm Indian Standard Time) instead of the usual 11 pm deadline.
The 2025 summer transfer window has witnessed an unprecedented flow of cash between clubs, with a total of €8.86 billion being spent this year – surpassing the amount (€8.85 billion) that was spent two years ago.
Liverpool, United still active despite being among highest spenders
The Liverpool board certainly has rewarded manager Arne Slot for winning the Premier League in his maiden season in charge with some high-profile purchases, including Florian Wirtz for a whopping £116 million (€134.19 million).

And even Manchester United has splurged more than £200 million on giving their squad a makeover, especially on the attacking front, despite finishing a dismal 15th on the league table last season.
Despite their grand expenditures this summer, both Liverpool and Manchester United still have some purchases to make, as will a host of other clubs who aren’t entirely satisfied with their squads.
And with the deadline set to end in a matter of hours, Europe is likely to witness a flurry of calls and signings on Monday evening.
