Ranjit Bajaj, the director of Minerva Academy Football Club, has alleged that matches are being fixed in I-League, the second division football league of India. The former owner of Punjab FC made the allegations of match fixing in I-League and other football leagues in India through a thread on X (formerly). He claimed that a few individuals have ownership in a number of clubs and are using their influence to fix matches.
“I LEAGUE IS FIXED also…@IndianFootball @ILeague_aiff did my own investigation as no one ever cares - found out stuff which will blow your mind- it’s left me shattered as there is no point in playing this league anymore-this Is why INDIAN FOOTBALL will never grow- no consequences ever in the history of india for anyone involved in fixing in football so it is flourishing in every league,” he posted on X.
In his X thread, Bajaj claimed that Delhi Premier League clubs Ahbab FC, Rangers, and Juba Sangha have same owners and major investors and hence it is easy to fix matches. Bajaj added that he was also made an offer to draw a match.

Bajaj went onto add that Kidderpore SC has same owners and they were also the main sponsor for Aizawl FC through their company, but were later dropped after AIFF (All India Football Federation) warned the former I-League winners of possible third-party investor influence.
He further added that the same owner who offered him to fix matches is also in “full control” of I-League club NEROCA FC, making suggestions that they might be controlling match results. Bajaj said even a NEROCA player had approached him regarding match fixing by the club.
“Now the same guy who made me a direct offer to fix -Akash Das is in ful control of @NerocaFC - and sits on the bench in all their matches - and this was the other team warned for outside investors by AIFF - they even approached CBI for a enquiry I think…note the name of the media manager it’s the same as well for Kidderpore which he owns - for the first time in decade since there inception Neroca played players from outside Manipur…then a player from that team complained to me that it’s blatant fixing going on but he is scared for his life,” he wrote on X.
In another tweet, Bajaj wrote that matches are fixed through an international syndicate and is being done under the influence of Wilson raj Perumal, a convicted Singaporean match-fixer.
Bajaj’s claims come on the heels of a video of own-goals during Delhi Football League match, suggesting match-fixing, that went viral on X.
