The Blue Tigers will also have talismanic striker Sunil Chhetri back in the squad after being rested during the CAFA Nations Cup. This will be the first time the 41-year-old Chhetri will be playing under Jamil in the national team.

Talking about India’s head-to-head record against Singapore, the Blue Tigers lead 12-11 in 27 matches, while their last match ended in a 1-1 draw in 2022.

India’s previous results in Group C have been a goalless draw against Bangladesh in Shillong and a 1-0 defeat to Hong Kong.
