Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that his biological age is less than 29 years, while his real age is 40 and he feels that he can play football for more than 10 years. Ronaldo has been playing professional football since 2001, scoring a record 933 goals in 1,267 games.

Ronaldo is the highest goal-scorer of all time in football and his next aim is to become the first player to cross the 1,000-goal milestone. If his biological age claim holds, then there’s no reason he cannot do it.

Ronaldo’s recovery process explained

So, what is Ronaldo’s biological age? The former Real Madrid star said that he has a biological age of 28.9. The biological tests on Ronaldo were conducted by Whoop, a tech company specializing in fitness trackers and health monitoring devices.

Ronaldo is Whoop’s brand ambassador.

Whoop used metrics like heart rate and heart rate variability to provide insights into the footballer’s exertion, recovery and sleep.

“I don’t believe it’s so good: my age is 28.9 years,” Ronaldo said on the Whoop podcast. “That means I’m going to be playing football for another 10 years.”

It was also revealed that he completes 17,000 steps every day and sleeps more than 7 hours. “That’s how I live my life: I always move, football or playing with kids. So, I am not surprised. Sleep is probably most important tool that I have. Only moment in day you can recover and settle everything. Great night of sleep is important in life in terms of health span. I go to bed around 11-12 and wake up 8.30-8.45 am.”

“When you are younger you think you are unbreakable. By age, the football demands physically a lot on the body. You have to managed that. You have to be smart, do things differently. I have learned from time and with my experience, and adjust year by year.”

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s contract with his current club, Al Nassr, is set to end in a little over a month. He has been linked with moves to Brazil and Morocco.
