Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet again as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Fateh 3-1 to return to third place in the Saudi Pro League on Sunday. Ronaldo struck late in the game, in the 87th minute when Al-Nassr were already 2-1 up. Ronaldo scored via a right-footed shot from the centre of the box towards the bottom-right corner and his goal was assisted by former Liverpool player Sadio Mane.
This was Ronaldo's third goal in two games after the Portugal international netted two goals against Al-Khaleej last week. The 39-year-old now leads the goal-scorer’s standings in Saudi Pro League with 14 goals, two more than Al-Ittihad’s Karim Benzema.
It took 41 minutes for Al-Nassr to get a lead after Marwana Saadane of Al-Fateh netted into his own goal.

Mohamed Simakan then made it 2-0 in the 57th minute with a header from the centre of the box towards the bottom-left corner.
Al-Fateh, however, had a ray of hope in the 72nd minute after Mourad Batna scored from outside the box to the bottom-right corner. But those hopes were quickly dashed as Ronaldo scores 15 minutes later.
Al Nassr have 35 points from 17 matches and are eight points behind league leaders Al-Hilal (43 points), who have played a game less. Al-Fateh, on the other hand, remained in 20th and last place with nine points from 17 matches.
