High alert ahead of Republic Day as intelligence flags Khalistani, Bangladesh-linked terror threats: Report

Intelligence agencies have issued a high alert for possible terror threats in New Delhi and other cities ahead of Republic Day, citing Khalistani and Bangladesh-based groups. Punjab-based gangsters are reportedly being used by Khalistani handlers abroad to further terror agendas, with networks active in Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Delhi Police conducted multiple mock drills at sensitive locations to boost anti-terror preparedness before the January 26 Republic Day parade.
