Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah named PM face as RSP forges alliance ahead of Nepal polls

Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah has joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party, forming an alliance with leader Rabi Lamichhane ahead of Nepal's March 5 elections. The alliance aims to attract youth and anti-corruption voters, challenging the dominance of traditional parties. Balen will be the RSP's prime ministerial candidate if the party wins, while Lamichhane remains president.
