Eggs, ink, slaps and punches — aam aadmi Arvind Kejriwal has taken it all in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. For the third time today, he was attacked during a roadshow in Delhi’s Sultanpuri.
An autorickshaw driver, first garlanded him, and then hit Kejriwal with all his might, before being pulled away by AAP workers. Kejriwal was then seen in Rajghat, sitting in silent prayer, with a visibly swollen face. In Varanasi, Kejriwal even sported the ink spots on his shirt during his speech.
While the AAP leader has told his asked his workers to turn the other cheek, he has been wondering, “Why me?”
Here then is a quick reminder of the many slaps and stones our aam aadmi hero has endured.
Mera joota hai hindustani. Kejriwal ‘fan’ repurposes footwear into a political action tool.
They say the pen is mightier than the sword. But ink is mightier still.
Oops they did it again. Ink is the new black for Kejri lovers.
Sticks and stones may break my windshield, but slaps will never harm me.
Hit me, baby, one more time. Ok maybe not…
