Karnataka CM: Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra will have no such impact

Bengaluru: According to Karnataka’s chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, the Congress’ “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” which is currently travelling through the state while Sonai, Rahul, and Priyanka Gandhi are on board, “will have no impact.” According to him, the rallies and state-wide tours of the BJP’s leaders were planned much earlier than the claims that they were being planned as a response to the Congress yatra. “Since Sonia Gandhi has already left after walking for half a mile, it is understandable that all party leaders will work for their own party. It doesn’t affect us and has no bearing on us, as far as we are concerned “In response to a query regarding the effects of Sonia, Priyanka, and Rahul Gandhi’s Yatra marching through the state, Bommai stated. To a question on the ruling BJP planning rallies and state-wide travel of its leaders, to counter Congress’ yatra, he said these were all planned much earlier. “As I had said earlier there will be six rallies, this will be part of that…we had planned it earlier, but as there was an assembly session, we had decided to do it after Dasara,” he added. Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra here, participating in a public event of the party after a long gap. Amid cheers and slogan-shouting by party workers, Sonia Gandhi walked beside her son Rahul Gandhi and other leaders for a few kilometres in Mandya district. Asked whether he will be travelling to New Delhi to discuss with the BJP central leadership the cabinet expansion, the CM merely said, “I will let you know before going.” Read all the **_Latest News_** _, _ **_Trending News_** _, _ **_Cricket News_** _, _ **_Bollywood News_** _, _ **_India News_** and **_Entertainment News_** here.
