Naik was allegedly denied venues by hotels in Mumbai for his press conference. As this Firstpost article notes, his PR team said that at least four hotels, including the Taj and ITC Grand Central, did not allow Naik to hold his meet there. According to Naik’s team, the WTC confirmed the availability of the venue, but cancelled the same on Wednesday. Media invites had already been sent out on Tuesday. Naik’s associate Mobin Solkar added, “WTC said there is an issue of power failure in the building. This is a weird reason and just an excuse. We are not in a position to say who could have instructed these hotels.” However, as promised by the PR team that the conference will happen at its scheduled time and date “albeit at a different venue”, Naik is all set to host his meeting on Thursday at Agripada.
