Bhopal: Terming the United Nation’s declaration to observe 21 June as ‘International Day of Yoga’ a “matter of pride” for India, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday announced to include yoga in school education curriculum. AFP[/caption] The announcement was made by Chouhan in the state Assembly soon after the session began in Bhopal on Friday. Chouhan said that on the initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the UN has decided to observe 21 June as the ‘International Yoga Day’ which is a “matter of pride” for India. A total of 175 nations supported India’s proposal in this regard, which is also highest as far as any proposal is concerned, he said. “Yoga will also be included in the school curriculum,” he said. Assembly Speaker Dr Sitasharan Sharma also supported Chouhan’s statement saying it was a matter of pride for India. PTI
