Will 1990's movie Ambedkar finally release?

'It is most unfortunate that the film has not yet been released though it was made in the 1990s. The Union Government had spent a lot of money to make it. People of the country have a right to know why it was not done despite so much money being spent,' he said.

"It is most unfortunate that the film has not yet been
released though it was made in the 1990s. The Union Government had spent a lot of money to make it. People of the country have a right to know why it was not done despite so much money being spent," he said.

Speaking at a press meet at Thrissur Press Club, he said
the main objective of making such a film was to promote art and artistes and added that he would try his best to ensure that the film gets released.

Innocent, the CPI-M backed Independent candidate from
Chalakudy constituency, had done a giant killing act in the Lok Sabha polls, defeating senior Congress leader P C Chacko, who was Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee which probed the 2G scam.

To a query on what his attitude was towards the newly
elected BJP led NDA government, he said the need of the hour was to support a leadership which did good things for the welfare of the people of the country, irrespective of
political affiliations.

Gone were the days when one opposed a government which did
good things, just for the sake of opposing it, he said, adding such a practice was not healthy for the future of the country.
