Kollam: The wife of one of the two fishermen killed in the firing from Italian ship ‘Enrica Lexie’, today said what was important is that the victims’ families get justice whether the case is conducted within Kerala or outside the state. Reacting to the Supreme Court order that a special court should try the case, Dora, wife of Valentine Jalastine, one of the deceased, said, “What is important is that justice is done. We are the losers. Wherever the case is tried, what is important is that justice is delivered.” Dora declined to make any further comment. Jalastine, who belonged to Neendarakara in Kollam, and Ajesh Pink, who hailed from Colachel in Kanyakumari district, were killed when the marines– Massimiliano Lattore and Salvatore Girone – on board ‘Enrica Lexie’ allegedly opened fire at their fishing boat off Alappuzha coast on 15 February last, mistaking them for pirates.
