WBCHSE Class 12th results 2018 declared: Granthan Sengupta from Jalpaiguri Zilla School tops exam with 99.2% marks
Granthan Sengupta from Jalpaiguri Zilla School in Jalpaiguri district topped the West Bengal Board Higher Secondary Examination — 2018, reports said.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) declared the West Bengal Class 12th examination result today and Granthan Sengupta from Jalpaiguri Zilla School in Jalpaiguri district topped the West Bengal Board Higher Secondary Examination — 2018, reports said.
Sengupta scored 496 marks (99.2 percent) out of 500, just four short of the perfect score. He is the first student from Arts stream to top the exam in five years.
The West Bengal Board announced the Class 12th examination result 2018 today at 10.30 am on the official website wbresults.nic.in which witnessed an overall pass percentage of 83.75 percent, which was close to the 84 percent passing percentage from last year.
The second position went to Ritvik Kumar Sahu from Tamluk Hamilton High School, who is also the science topper with 98.6 percent.
In the overall girl's category, Arkadipta Ghosh from Jadavpur Vidyapith scored 97.2 percent. She ranked fifth overall along with Aritro Roy from Pathfinder Public School, an Indian Express report states.

Where to collect your mark sheet
The board had earlier advised schools to collect mark sheets and other relevant documents today from their respective distribution camps from 10.30 am onwards and distribute them to students on the same day. Students are advised to check with their schools for time and date for distribution of mark sheets.
