Watch: In Delhi group of boys rescues foreigner after man attempts to molest her

In a video, which once again points out the glaring problem of lack of women’s safety in India, a foreigner was sexually assaulted by a man in New Delhi who attacked her as she was walking alone on a deserted road at around 10 pm on 19 August. However, after the man assaulted the woman, a group of boys playing in a park nearby came to the rescue of the woman and caught the culprit and handed him over to the police. The woman is from Uzbekistan and the boys who rescued her were playing football and call themselves the Malviya Nagar Maniacs, according to The Times of India. “We were playing in the park when we heard a scream. We rushed towards the sound. We saw a foreigner, who was all teary, and then a man running towards Apeejay School. We sensed something was wrong,” TOI quoted Sarthak Sharma, one of the boys who rescued the woman, as saying.
