All over a cuppa: Chai and Why brings Sundays alive with snippets of science

As scientists are stepping out of their academic cocoons to get the general public more enthused about the work they do, Chai and Why — a forum run by Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai — is leading the way in Maharashtra's capital through their sessions on a range of scientific topics.

The forum, which has been running for almost a decade now, meets on alternate weekends to discuss scientific issues in a ‘science café’ format.

Here's when one can attend their sessions:

  • 1st Sunday of every month at Prithvi Theatre, Juhu
  • 3rd Sunday of every month at Ruparel College, Matunga
  • 5th Sunday (if it exists) at Alexandra School, Fort
